El día lunes 13 de este mes, el FC Barcelona prescindió del contrato que tenían con el entrenador del primer equipo, Ernesto Valverde. Pronto los medios de comunicación informaron sobre la crisis que el club está atravesando y por la cual se han tomados medidas drásticas. Los fans en las redes sociales expresaron su descontento con la directiva y entrenador creando así una cadena de quejas usando el hashtag #VALVERDEOUT.
El descontento de los socios y seguidores aumentó el día jueves, 9 de enero, cuando el FC Barcelona fue eliminado por el club Atlético de Madrid en la semifinal de la Supercopa de España de una manera inexplicable, ya que iban ganando y al final del partido en cuestión de 10 minutos, le remontaron el encuentro y fueron eliminados, esta situación dio lugar a un aumento de preocupación y enfado por parte de los seguidores y socios, ya que la forma de juego y resultados del equipo no estaba siendo positiva y la imagen del club estaba siendo desgastada.
La directiva del club empezando por el presidente, Josep Maria Bartomeu, no supieron manejar la situación de la mejor manera ya que días antes del despido de Ernesto Valverde, rumores acerca de un cambio de entrenador circulaban por los medios, con información de directivos del club viajando en busca de nuevos entrenadores; el problema era que al entonces entrenador no se le había informado nada sobre esta situación y las cosas se estaban haciendo a sus espaldas y sin el menor cuidado, mientras que Valverde seguía sus actividades como líder pero sufría por la alta atención de los medios sobre su situación y futuro causada por el caos armado por los directivos y presidente.
Minutos después de que el club emitiera un comunicado oficial sobre el despido de Valverde, se oficializó la contratación del nuevo técnico Quique Setién.
Los seguidores del club se encuentran muy felices por este cambio, y esperan que el cambio que pueda hacer Setién en el equipo sea positivo e inmediato ya que el día domingo tienen el primer partido luego de todo el caos vivido. La ilusión que produce el nuevo entrenador no se había sentido desde hace mucho tiempo en el club, la gente confía mucho en Setién y piensan que él le puede dar al equipo la intensidad y juego perdido la cual carece actualmente el equipo.
Lo que no es un secreto para todos fueron las malas maneras del club en llevar este cambio ya que el ex entrenador se sintió humillado, y que menospreciaron el trabajo de dos años y los títulos ganados con el equipo.
En conclusión, el cambio de entrenador era necesario, las maneras no fueron las correctas ni el momento el adecuado. Lo que más preocupa a los seguidores del equipo es la mala planificación deportiva por parte del club, ahora lo único que queda por hacer es confiar y apoyar al nuevo entrenador para así ganar títulos y mejorar la imagen del equipo.

The fans of the club have expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of the club by creating a Hashtag #VALVERDEOUT. Each day, the comments kept growing and more people joined in on the upset.
The dissatisfaction by the owners and the fans came to fruition on January 9th when FC Barcelona was eliminated by Atletico Madrid from the semifinals of the Supercopa of the Spanish league. In an inexplicable game, seeing as they were to win near the end of the game with 10 minutes left in regulations, Atletico Madrid came back and won the game advancing to the finals. This situation gave room for a change, which was fueled by worried fans and the performance of the team in the game partnered with the results, did not bring the team into a positive light and the image of the club was not wasted. The club of directors for FC Barcelona, starting with President Josep Maria Bartomeu did not know how to manage the situation well. This was days before the termination of Ernesto Valverde. Rumors of a possible termination were being circulated by media outlets that had information about the club looking for a new manager. The problem was that the coach at the time was not informed about the situation and this all happened without care, as leaks kept coming out and the club kept meeting with other coaches. Valverde continued to coach the team while suffering the high attention of the media caused by his performance and the president of the club. Minutes after the club released a press statement over the termination of Valverde, the club released another statement, appointing Quique Setien as the new manager. He was also already in Barcelona ready to start working with the team.

The excitement produced by a new manager hasn’t been felt for a long time for the club. The people have confidence in Setien and believe he is the key to bringing more intensity in the game, along with winning more games. There is no secret that the club acted dishonestly as they carried out the change, even when the ex-Manager long history of winning games and titles for the club.
In conclusion, the change of manager was necessary, but how they made the change was not in the best interest of the team and fans. It was also not beneficial that the fans demanded his termination and that he was then terminated in the middle of the season, which resulted in the ending of his career.
