This week, Texas Attorney General goons raided the home of an 87-year-old senior citizen in Texas. According to published reports, she was quoted as saying, “They scared the hell out of me.”

Hey, who could blame her? If nine officers show up in your home fully armed and in SWAT gear, we all would, too. So, the first thing people think when they read these first sentences is that it was a mistake. Well, it was not. This octatriene soon to be—I’m not sure what the word is for a person soon to be in their nineties—is not a mistake.

Pinche Paxton

Well then, could this be a San Antonio Cartel connection somehow? What could this 87-year respected senior have done? Well, if you have not heard, her crime was to be suspected of (Gasp!) doing illegal voter registration. Reportable, they sized her phone, computer, her Calander, and “Wait for it’ (insert gasp here) blank voter registration cards.

Ms. Martinez went on to say that they made her stand outside her home in her nightgown while they searched her home. She shared that it made her both angry and embarrassed; I can imagine that it made me mad just reading about it.

Another respected individual, Manuel Medinas’ home, was raided by another goon unit, which broke down his door for good measure. Mr. Medina is the Chair for Tejano Democrats and a LULAC member like Ms. Martinez. Mr. Martinez is also the Chief of Staff to Rep. Liz Campos, D-San Antonio, and a pollical operative for Cecilia Castellano. Ms. Castellano, a candidate for the Texas House, was also targeted in the Paxton probe. Understandably, they all interpret Paxton’s’ action as being politically motivated.

According to statements by Paxton’s’ office, the folks mentioned above are suspected of vote harvesting and registering non-citizens to vote. All this is under the umbrella of the Election Integrity Unit, which was created after Trump lost to Biden. Paxton contends that the Biden-Harris administration has flooded our country with illegal aliens (for the record, no human is illegal), and these Illegals can influence elections at all levels.

To that, I say that before he starts looking south to Mexico, he should look at Russia for illegal voter influence. I am sure his friend Trump can have a conversation with him about Russia and his hero Putin. Yesterday, I heard on local news that he (Pinche Paxton) has started a Voter Tip line to report illegal voting. I can easily guess the ethnicity of the folks that will be reported—can you?

Look, I am not one to look for racists or discrimination around every corner, Pero, but even a deaf and dumb Cat would think, “This stinks to high heaven.” It smells a lot like Enchiladas to me. Luckly, LULAC (The League of United Latin American Citizens) ‘s national president and CEO have stepped in. They have announced they have contacted the Justice Department to investigate Paxton’s office for violating the Voting Rights Act.

As a local LULAC president in Tarrant County, I applaud their action, especially since I just heard Paxton say he is looking at illegal activity in Fort Worth. In my opinion, and in the opinion of most people who have not drank the Trump Kool-Aid, this is a clear case of voter suppression and intimidation. However, Paxton should know our community has overcome much more. “Not going Back.”
