Denton is famous for being the Home of both the University of North Texas and Texas Woman’s University. But there is so much more to it than just being a college town as there are many places to visit.
Denton has an amazing nightlife while also being perfect for family fun. Its nightlife starts with wonderful dining options around the historic courthouse on the square. Barley and Board, located in downtown, is a great locally owned restaurant specializing in new American-style cuisine. After, you can head over to a local craft brewery like The Denton Brewing Company or Armadillo Ale Works. Or you can dance the night away in one of the town’s many live music venues as it is an exceptional music-friendly town.
Denton has even more to do during the day with a vibrant arts and culture community. The town offers performance art theater, murals, museums, and art galleries. It also offers many outdoor recreational activities. Walk, run, or bike in the twenty-seven different trails the town offers. Enjoy the day with children at one of the town’s twenty-eight playgrounds or have a picnic in the city’s thirty-eight parks.
Denton offers plenty of activities a person can do while still having a “small” town charm.
