“I’m sorry, but I still have no faith in Garret.”

That’s the talk this year but, do you believe that come February 2020 North Texas will stop down for our first Super Bowl since 1996? If you remember that was a good one, finally defeating the dirty Steelers 27 to 17, made a lot of the old Cowboys happy and old Cowboy fans like me.
Pero, can this team get to the promised land with a Q.B that has pretty good at times and not so good also? And, will they have to do it without Zeke? As of now, no Zeke at training camp and now Jerry Jones has added fuel to the fire. When asked about Zeke in Hawaii about to play the Rams, Jerry quipped, “Zeke Who”? Well, Zeke and his agent did not find that funny and let it be known, so I’d say that does not help negotiations. Pero, many are saying we got the rookie Tony Pollard which has shown he can play. In addition, they have brought back Alfred Morris which knows the system and has proven he can get you some first downs. Will it be enough to replace a NFC rushing leader, Quien Sabe (Who knows?). But other teams have gotten to the Bowl without a rushing leader or even a top 5 Q.B.
As for the Defense, they are very much improved from where they were a few years ago during the Romo years when they were the worse Defense in the league. In fact, it was argued that they were possibly the worst Defense in NFL history. So, no excuse there unless you remember how they were embarrassed by the Rams in the playoffs last season. Oh, there were plenty excuses offered then, wrong shoes, the Rams knew their defensive plays better than they did. The Offense was okay but not good enough to win. Could they have won that game? I say yes. But they were out- coached, so there is my biggest concern. And I’m’ not talking about the coordinators or position coaches it is Garret old Carrot head. I’m sorry, but I still have no faith in Garret. He is not able to out coach just anyone in this league come playoff time. Can he prove me wrong and thousands of other fans wrong this season? Of course, I still hold out a glimmer of hope, haven’t lived through the Landry years of “They’re never going to win the big one”
So maybe just maybe This is the Year! I’ll be watching and will continue my weekly observations and invite your thoughts and comments as well at govealberto215@yahoo.com.
