. For those that are always saying that there should be more movies with Latinos (ME) if you don’t support this I don’t’ want to hear from you anymore.
— A. Govea

The movie stars Eva Longoriaand Michael Pena as Dora’s parents, staring as Dora is Isabela MonerI have previously seen Monerin Instant Familymovie with Mark Wahlberg. In that movie she played a rebellious teenager in this movie she plays a teenager that most parents wish they had. In addition, Danny Trejois the voice of Boots and Benicio Del Torois the voice of Swiper.

The basic premise of the movie focuses after Dora reluctantly leaves the jungle for the city to begin High School life, but then she and cousin Diego along with two friends are kidnapped. They are brought back to the jungle and they spend their time looking for Dora’s parents, while the bad guys hope they will lead them to the City of Gold. And, while the movie is meant for general audiences- it stays true to the Nick Jr TV series so you will have some Spanish dialogue. Which for me made it even more special to share with the grandkids, it is funny and maybe a little stereotypically corny at times, but it works. My guess is this movie has the most Latinos starring in it since the 90s movie Mi Familia. For those that are always saying that there should be more movies with Latinos (ME) if you don’t support this I don’t’ want to hear from you anymore. Besides it is a feel-good movie especially if you are Latino. Pero, (But) if you are not you still will enjoy it as I observed families of all flavors including some that appeared to be of the Muslim faith laughing along as well. Also, recently watched Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and it is good as well but in a different way.

See You at The Movies
