 Los cines locales del norte de Texas, como AMC y Cinemark, están haciendo un gran esfuerzo para atraer más clientes y volver a operar el negocio después de estar cerrado por tanto tiempo. El gerente general de AMC y Cinemark pusieron un video en sus sitios de web para explicar las medidas que están tomando para priorizar la salud y la seguridad de los consumidores en los cines. En el video y descripciones de sus páginas, detallan cómo están cuidando a sus clientes cuando entran a ver una película. Están tomando los procedimientos de limpieza más en serio, reemplazando los filtros de aire por MERV 13 que son más sanitarios, separan cada grupo que compra boletos con dos asientos a cada lado para practicar el distanciamiento social y sugieren que los boletos y las golosinas se compren por su aplicación de celular para evitar el contacto con más gente. 

 Los teatros también están promoviendo precios más bajos como boletos a $3 para niños y $5 para adultos. Para compensar la falta de nuevos estrenos de teatro, están proyectando películas viejas, clásicas y populares y también se puede rentar un cuarto privado, con un gran descuento, para ver una película de su propia elección con amigos y familia. 

Ojalá y sus esfuerzos ayuden a evitar la extinción de teatros.

Is the pandemic the meteor that could cause the extinction of movie theaters?

Now days, people have their eyes on how film corporations are doing. With the stocks of AMC, CINE, CNNWF in the red and AMZN, NFLX, and DIS in the green, many are worrying about whether streaming services are going to replace theaters altogether. 

Local cinemas in North Texas, such as AMC and Cinemark, are making a great effort to bring in more guests and re-operate the business after being closed for so long. The CEO of AMC and Cinemark put a video on their websites to explain the steps they are taking to prioritize their guests’ health and safety. In the video and descriptions of their pages, they go in great detail of how their customers are being taken care of when they come in to watch a movie. They are taking cleaning procedures more seriously, 

upgrading to new air filters, MERV 13 that are more sanitary, separating each group that buys tickets in the theater with two seats on each side to practice social distancing, and suggesting that customers buy their tickets and concessions in their mobile app to reduce the contact of people. 

Theaters are also promoting lower prices for tickets to $3 for children and $5 for adults. To 

compensate for the lack of new movie releases, they are screening old, classic, and popular movies. People can also rent a full stage to watch a movie of your own choice with friends and family for a discounted price.
