A Movie Review

movie

“The Chosen”; is a fresh portrayal of the teaching of the Gospel by Jesus Christ and his disciples.

In my interview with Mr. Dallas Jenkins, the creator and primary writer of “The Chosen”, Mr. Jenkins spoke about the importance of faith in our everyday personal lives and struggles. He went on to say that faith is something that can’t be seen but can be practiced spiritually by trust.

A high percentage of viewers have had a positive reception for this production and for the performances by the actors in their characters. There are scenes from the four different books of the Gospel throughout the production which are remarkable humanize (Roman guard speaking to Matthew on the down low).

This shows production and cinematic quality enhances and focuses on the story telling and characters which align with a more modern-day version. Don’t be disappointed when there are no chariot race scenes or people thrown at the lions.

“The Chosen” offers a point of view into the historical teachings of Jesus Christ appealing to both faith-based and non-faith-based audiences which makes it worth watching.
