Kobe Bryant and his 14 year- old daughter Gianna were killed this past Sunday in a devastating helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. Seven friends of the Bryant’s died, including the pilot.

Koby Bryant’s career within the NBA was no doubt legendary. His talents were a commodity from the start of his career. Bryant was the first-round pick for the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1996 NBA draft. During his 20 seasons, he won 5 NBA championships, made 18 all-star games and was a 4-time MVP. Both of his jerseys 24 and 8 were retired, and Bryant is famously the only player to receive that honor.
Kobe Bryant was 41 at the time of his death. This tragedy has sent a ripple through the sports community and has certainly impacted sports history forever.
