Who else is getting those nostalgic feelings of Cowboys vs Washington from past games? McCarthy has talked the talk now it’s time for the Cowboys to walk the walk! Since coach Ron Rivera has taken over in Washington the rivalry has heated back up with Washington sweeping Dallas last season and winning the N.F.C. East then nearly beating the would-be Super Bowl champs in the divisional round.

Early this season, Dallas looked to be a lock to win the division, but now things are looking much tougher. The football team from Washington has won four in a row including a win over Tom Brady and Russel Wilson. As for Dallas, they have lost the last three out of five. Regardless of record, this would be a tough opponent, especially in Washington. Dallas will be getting back key players on defense, and they will need to contain Washington QB Taylor Heinicke who can be dangerous with both arm and legs. The offense is also getting some players back but also has some injuries including Tony Pollard and Zeke Elliot.

During November, the running game was stagnant at best and that’s with both healthy. That being said, I have to give big props to Tony Pollard; he has played his tail off. Dak must be sharp and confident early to set the tone with some deep passes to turn the running game around. Washington is missing game changing players on defense and are still having a heck of a season.

But no excuses, the line needs to do better to protect Dak as he has been under constant pressure as of late. Coaching must be on point, no long field goal attempts. This game will be all about field position like the great Bill Belichick says, “sometimes a punt is your best friend.” They cannot afford to get too emotional either and get unnecessary penalties. Leave the emotions to the fans like me who really hate Washington and consider them our most hated rival. The game is an early noon kickoff so that means I will have to start drinking by at least 9:30 a.m. Come on Cowboys, let’s win one for the ghost of Cowboys fan number one; the one and only Crazy Ray!Who else is getting those nostalgic feelings of Cowboys vs Washington from past games?
