Con un poco de ayuda de los nominados de los premios Golden Globes, haré mis predicciones de los Óscares, que son los premios más esperados de muchos fanáticos de películas. Este año hay muchas películas dedicadas a gente de color y sus diferentes vidas. Es refrescante ver estos nuevos directores que merecen mucha atención.
The Trial of the Chicago 7
Mis predicciones de Mejor Película de este año son, Nomadland, The Trial of the Chicago 7, Promising Young Woman, Minari, The Father, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Soul y One night in Miami. Yo creo que la película que merece el premio debería ser Nomadland, una película que sigue la vida de una mujer durante la Gran Recesión del 2008 que la deja sin casa y vive como nómada.
Para el mejor Director(a) los nominados serán Chloé Zhao (Nomadland), Aaron Sorkin (The Trial of the Chicago 7), Lee Isaac Chung (Minari), Emerald Fennell (Pretty Young Woman), Regina King (One Night in Miami). Yo creo que Regina King ganará este premio porque ha ganado otros similares y es una buen actriz y directora.

Academy Awards season is almost here, but this year it will be a bit different, because many at home have not been able to watch movies in person. Everything has been online with streaming services such as HBO Max, Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus, etc. Today, I will be giving my predictions on the upcoming awards for the categories of Best Picture and Best Director.
With a little bit of help from the nominations for Golden Globes, I will make my predictions for the Oscars, the awards most awaited for by many film fanatics. This year there are many movies dedicated to the lives of people of color in different situation in life. It is refreshing to see new directors that deserve recognition.
My predictions for Best Picture this year are, Nomadland, The Trial of the Chicago 7, Promising Young Woman, Minari, The Father, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Soul and One night in Miami. I believe that the film that deserves the award should be Nomadland, a movie that follows the life of a woman during the Great Recession of 2008 which leaves her without a home and lives like a nomad.
For Best Director, the nominations are Chloé Zhao (Nomadland), Aaron Sorkin (The Trial of the Chicago 7), Lee Issac Chung (Minari), Emerald Fennell (Pretty Young Woman), and Regina King (One Night in Miami). I think that Regina King will win this award because she has won other similar awards and is a great actress and director.
