I asked them both if this was their first role in a historical piece portraying the people that created the history. They both answered in the affirmative to that question and said they were very happy to be starring in this film. Julian shared that this would be his first lead role in a film. Pauline shared that although she has been acting since age 7, but this role is different.

Julians’ role is that of a tough guy that just happens to excel at golf and at the end wins the favor of Pauline. Pauline is a determined Latina with her eye on bigger things than Del Rio has to offer. She goes on to pursue a career in writing, heading to Austin and UTA to learn that craft.

This movie has a positive message for all of us and especially for those of us that at one time were made to feel less than. I encourage everyone to enjoy this movie with your family and discuss the lessons learned in this film.
