One of the enduring lessons from one of my government classes was that there is no such thing as freedom of expression.

The example was you cannot holler ‘fire” inside a crowded theater. We have a law called the “Sedition Act.” The law kind of prevents anyone from trying to take over the government illegally.

Trump has tried every kind of way to overturn the results of the presidential election, an election he lost fair and square. He has been turned away from every court, including the supreme.  Simple message is “game over.” Fifty states have certified the results of the election.

Biden was elected president of the United States. The last formality is for the Senate to reaffirm the results. It would be incomprehensible for the senate to overturn the will of the people. Yet, that is what Trump is trying to do. He wants the congress to throw the election results in the trash can and name him president.

Certainly, someone in the administration warned Trump of the consequences for his actions.  The rumor has it that he is going to pardon himself and his buddies for all crimes.  The center of power has shifted in Washington. Biden is now the center of power. There is no doubt in my mind that a Biden administration would advise Trump that he is a threat to national security.

The worse thing that Trump and his cronies can do is underestimate a President Biden. This is not Biden’s first rodeo.

In this case a decision as to what to do would be easy.
