Since 2012 scientists have tried to provide us information regarding climate change. Professors from the University of Massachusetts and Wisconsin affirm that Antarctica is melting and that the water level will exceed 60 meters in height within the next 30 years.

Climate change is drastically changing, and Antarctica is the karma that Mother Nature is sending our way to show us that our lifestyles are not safe. Scientists have shared that the fuel level must drop to 50% by the year 2030 so that the temperature of the ocean does not rise. The United States government says that it can only be reduced by 1% in the next 8 years. Based on this information there is no turning back and Antarctica will melt.

Gas emissions will cause cities like New York, Buenos Aires, the coasts of Mexico, Shanghai, among others, to disappear. Therefore, this disaster may take less time than predicted. In the next 8 years, temperatures will increase by at least 2 degrees Celsius and this will cause water temperatures to take decades to drop again.

It’s not just the fact water is rising, but we would also lose 90% of our drinking water, as the glaciers would combine with the saltwater from the ocean. The Glaciers contain dichloro-diphenyl-trichloroethane as well as a large amount of mercury, this would mix with the water of the ocean, rivers, and lagoons, killing countless marine animals and poisoning many people.

Many people may think that these are simply just myths and that none of this will happen; what they don’t know is that it is happening right now. Some people already have water restrictions because in their country there is not enough water for everyone. We must learn to take care of our world, try to lower fuels, use the car less, or change to other transportation alternatives that emit less carbon monoxide, so we will be doing our part. NASA’s activist scientist, Pater Kalmus, said: “We need a billion people to achieve a change”: let’s be part of those millions of millions.

La Antártida ¿será nuestro karma?

Desde el año 2012, los científicos han tratado de informarnos acerca del cambio climático. Profesores de la universidad de Massachussets y Wisconsin afirman que la Antártida se está derritiendo y en los próximos 30 años el nivel del agua sobrepasará los 60 metros de altura.

El cambio climático está afectándonos drásticamente y la Antártida es el karma que la madre tierra nos está mandando para hacernos entender que nuestros hábitos de vida no son los correctos. Los científicos dicen que es crucial que el nivel de combustibles baje a 50% para el año 2030 para que la temperatura del océano no suba. El gobierno de Estados Unidos dice que solo se podrá reducir un 1% en los próximos 8 años. Dándonos a entender que no hay vuelta atrás y efectivamente la Antártida se derretirá.

Las emisiones de gases provocarán que ciudades como New York, Buenos Aires, las costas de México, Shanghái entre otras, desaparezcan y, al paso que vamos, puede que este desastre tarde menos de lo pronosticado.  En los próximos 8 años las temperaturas aumentarán por lo menos 2º C; esto provocará que las temperaturas del agua tarden décadas en volver a bajar.

No es solo el hecho de la elevación del agua, sino que también perderíamos un 90% de nuestra agua potable, ya que los glaciares se combinarían con el agua salada del océano. Los Glaciares contienen dicloro-difenil-tricloroetano al igual que una gran cantidad de mercurio, esto se mezclaría igual con el agua del océano, ríos y lagunas, matando a infinidades de animales marinos e intoxicando un gran número de personas.

Muchas personas piensan que estos eventos son mitos y que nada de esto pasará. Lo que no saben es que ya está pasando. En estos momentos hay gente que ya tienen recorte de agua ya que en su país no hay suficiente para todos. Tenemos que aprender a cuidar nuestro mundo, tratar de bajar los combustibles, usar menos el carro o cambiar a otras alternativas que emitan menos monóxido de carbono; así estaremos poniendo de nuestra parte. Pater Kalmus, científico activista de la NASA dice que “necesitamos un billón de personas para lograr un cambio”: seamos parte ese millón de millones.
